Helping hands/pumpkin science
Since our theme this week revolves around "helping hands", we will be discussing the various ways we can help others, and why it is so important that we do so. We will talk to the children about all of the things, big or small, that they can do to lend a helping hand in someones time of need. Selflessness and compassion are traits that can never be instilled too young. We will also touch on the topic of pumpkins and throw in a few science lessons throughout the week!
Christmas
Christmas is right around the corner and we have lots to do before the year comes to an end! The kids will spend this week putting the finishing touches on their Christmas gifts, making holiday goodies, as well as practicing diligently for their Annual Christmas Program!
Tuesday, December 15: Discovery's Annual Christmas Program! Please be sure to read the information provided in the tab labeled "Christmas Program" for complete details!
Tuesday, December 18: We will be having a Pajama Party/Movie Day to reward the preschoolers for all the hard work that they put into rehearsing for their Christmas Program. On this day, Cindy will order pizza for lunch and the kids will be able to watch the movie of their choice in their jammies!
Tuesday, January 7: CrossFit Billings will be here at 9:45 to spend the morning exercising with the preschoolers. Each child scheduled to attend on this day will need $4.00!
Nursery Rhymes
This week, nursery rhymes will be the foundation of our daily activities. The kids enjoy this week because they are typically fairly familiar with select nursery rhymes, so extended discussion and coordinated projects only further their knowledge.
Opposites
This week, we will be focusing on opposites! The children are typically aware of many commonly used opposites, but this week we will push their knowledge a bit further and challenge them on the topic a bit!
