The Discovery Daycare preschoolers will present their annual Christmas program to parents, family, and friends on:
Tuesday, December 17th
The program will be held at First Christian Church, which is located at 522 N 29th St.
The church is downtown directly across the street from the public library.  There is a parking lot for our use on the west side of the church.
Due to the size of the church, we will be doing as we have in years past and splitting the preschoolers up into 2 groups.  These 2 groups will then run their programs back to back.
We will have our first program at 6:15 pm & the second will take place at 7:15 pm.
The groups will be split out as follows:
6:15 Program
The children who are NOT Kindergarten Eligible this year (born after 9/10/15) will participate in this program!
7:15 Program
The children who are Kindergarten Eligible this year (born before 9/10/15) will participate in this program!
Families with 2 children in Preschool
Your children can either participate in their corresponding program, or you can choose one for them to both participate in.  If you opt to have them participate in the same program, please inform Cindy which time you choose so she can inform the preschool teachers.
*  If you know ahead of time that your child will not make it, please let Cindy know!  *
Information for the 6:15 program
Please refrain from arriving at the church any earlier than 5:45!  We ask this simply because up until this point, the staff will be working diligently trying to finish decorating for the program as well as carrying out our final trials to ensure that the video and audio aspects of the program are properly tweaked and ready to go for the program.  Therefore, we will not be available to supervise the children until this time.  Please remain in the lobby with your child until we open the doors!
We will have a teacher at each entrance of the church to help direct the flow of traffic as well as point you and your child in the proper direction.  We do, however, ask that you take your child to the restroom prior to handing them off to a staff member.  Thank you in advance!
Please have your child to the church NO LATER than 6:05!  This will allow us a few minutes to gather the children and ensure they are ready to rock and roll right at 6:15 sharp!
Once the program has finished, we ask that the parents remain seated and a preschool teacher will usher your child to you.  By escorting the children to their respective families, it allows us to better maintain order and reduce chaos to the best of our ability.  With that, when you see a teacher making their way down the aisle with your child, feel free to give us a wave or holler and it will speed this process right along.
Once all the children are seated with their families, please wait quietly as Jessi has prepared a slideshow that will conclude the program.
All of the preschooler have been working hard to create a Christmas gift for their mom's and dad's which will be wrapped and sitting on a table near the stage.  Please grab it before you exit the church.
Lastly, at the conclusion of the program, we are asking that you exit through the doors behind the stage.  This will help to minimize the traffic between those leaving the 6:15 program and those arriving for the 7:15 program.  We will be happy to point you in the right direction when that time arrives!
Information for the 7:15 program
For this program, we ask that the parents refrain from arriving any earlier than 6:45!  Please keep in mind that there is a program that will be in progress, so we ask that you remain in the lobby until it is complete as not to distract the preschoolers performance.  Since we will be putting on 2 separate programs, we want to make our best efforts to see to it that the transition between them flows as seamlessly as possible while also limiting the volume and congestion to the best of our ability!
Upon arrival, we ask that you wait in the lobby with your child while we wrap up the 6:15 program.  Please wait QUIETLY, as the 6:15 program may not be entirely finished.  Please use this time to take your child to the restroom so they will not need to do so during the program.
Please have your child to the church NO LATER than 7:05!  This will allow us a few extra minutes to get everyone gather and prepared!
Once the church clears out from the 6:15 program, we will make an announcement at which point we will ask that you hand off your child to a teacher and invite you to find a seat.  Please note that the teachers will all be partaking in the 6:15 program, and will not be available to supervise your children until that program ends.  With that, it will be up to you to keep your child close by and using their inside voices until this time comes!
